A refugee from Corporate America, Pam started The Dancing Goat in August of 2007. First selling to friends and family and by word of mouth, she expanded to Farmer’s Markets and added in eggs from free range chickens and artisan goat milk soap. She has been an active vendor in five different Farmers Markets from the Saturday Morning Market in St. Petersburg to Sweetwater Organic Farm. It isn’t unusual to find her at market with the newest born baby goats so folks can experience a little “piece of the farm.”
Driven by the self-proclaimed yuppie turned farmer, Pam’s company won Creative Loafing’s “Loafie” award for Best Raw Goat Milk in Tampa Bay for 2008, the Cordon D’or International Culinary Academy Great Tastes of Florida Award 2011, Pam has served as Youth Dairy Goat Superintendent for the Florida State Fair for the past ten years and mentor/advisor to 4H, FFA and numerous youth in the area. She maintains a herd of competition dairy goats which have taken numerous Grand Champion awards in Florida and Georgia. The Dancing Goat is a family business with husband, Jim; daughter, Carleigh; and son, Clinton—each an integral part of the company.
The goats at The Dancing Goat Dairy live life in luxury! They are fed the bed hay money can buy and a custom mixed grain on the milking stand in minimal amounts. Feel free to ask questions and follow us on Facebook!
