Membership is Ownership

For $25 a year you can become a member as well as part owner of the Suncoast Co-op. We are a worker owned cooperative and will give special perks for our member/owners. Patronize from the market and reap the rewards years to come with a vibrant local food economy.

  • Receive 10% discount with no market surcharge.
  • Half off on any upcoming workshops or events our co-op may host.
  • Preferred Patron- If there are 5 apples on the market and 6 are sold, members get preference first on their order being fulfilled.
  • You own the business Democratic election of board of directors. Each member gets one vote.

Grower Spotlight
Join Pam Lunn as she tours her “The Dancing Goat” farm located in Tampa. You can order from “The Dancing Goat” products on our online locally produced market. Pam sells eggs, Goat milk, goat cheeses, raw milk (for pet consumption), butter, Soaps and much more! This Sub-urban farm is home to several Goats and Chickens as well as an emerging vegetable garden. Pam takes us for a tour of her award winning chickens. Stay tuned for Part 2 where Pam shows us her Goats and products also any volunteer information or manure pick-up.Check out her video below.

UPCOMING CHANGES

Above is a picture of the " mobile Farmacy" that the Habitat for Humanity is building for our co-op. In the next few weeks we will be moving the location of the pick-ups outdoors.

Simply Fresh Customer Pick-up 3pm-3:30pm
We had a change time due to some people asking us for later pick-up as well as our driver Eric’s vehicle is having mechanical problems. Rick will be delivering orders to Tarpon at 3pm.
All Tarpon orders are delivered in Suncoast Co-op bags, please return the bags the following week when you re-order.
Customers can pick-up their orders from Simply Fresh *3-3:30pm

Every Saturday join us for talks about local food movement. Conversations about growing our own food. 10am-2pm at the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity Restore 4131 Madison Street. We have a grower table full of fresh veggies and cottage industry goods. You can pick up your online order at Noon-2pm.

Tasty Tuesdays
New Port Richey Library 5939 Main street
10am-1pm
Join the co-op every Tuesday at the New Port Richey Library 5939 Main street. We have a grower table set-up along with other vendors selling fresh veggies and products made from our local growers. Pick-up fresh local food till you can pick up your order on Saturday.

Community Garden Planning @ Peace Garden

Would you like to learn how to create a community garden or like to help an existing community garden? Join our co-op at the community learning garden at Peace Hall to learn about upcoming community garden projects. If you feel extra generous please bring food for a Pot-luck.

Pasco Ecofest
Join us November 8-10, 2013 for Pasco Eco Fest, a three day event in Sims and Starkey Parks. Explore beautiful West Pasco by kayaking, wading through swamps, and learning about native plants and medicinal herbs. Learn about our native wildlife through interactive exhibits and talks. Participate in free sustainable living & homesteading workshops.

This event will also incorporate a fine art show, live music and entertainment, a drum circle, an Eco Market, free yoga, belly dancing and hoop dancing workshops, geocaching, stargazing, vintage VW show and swap meet, and food trucks.
